Temptation is a dish best served hot…
Event planner Daisy Robles can’t remember a time when celebrity restaurateur and celebrated playboy Brandon Montoya didn’t make her nuts. His infuriating arrogance, his hotness…his undeniable sexual energy. One night and whole lot of expensive tequila later, Daisy’s self-control is AWOL. And Brandon’s making her crazy in all the right ways.
When their tequila-fueled make-out session hits the tabloids, Brandon is furious. At least until he realizes his “relationship” with Daisy is his chance to get his ill mother to Los Angeles for treatment. All he has to do is convince Daisy to be his pretend fiancée for two weeks…
The deal? No sex and no falling in love. But all it takes is a little heat to find themselves in a deliciously compromising position…

From Delicious Complication by Sabrina Sol:
Part of him wanted to ask if he could take another kiss as repayment. It surprised him just how much he still savored the first one. Not just because it was so hot, but because for those few seconds against her lips, all worry about his mama was pushed to the back of his mind. He’d become lost in the taste and feel of her, and he desperately needed to get lost all over again. That was why he hadn’t gone home right away after the reception. Brandon had walked into that hotel bar looking for some sort of remedy for his pain, something to help him forget about what he’d have to deal with tomorrow and in the coming weeks. The tequila mixed with some Daisy could be the potent antidote he was looking for.
He reached for the bottle of tequila but she grabbed it before he could and examined the label. “Damn. This must’ve cost you a pretty penny.”
He shrugged. “Some things in life are worth it.”
“Sure. Things like food and a house or a car. Only a rich person could justify spending a small fortune on a bottle of alcohol that, based on the amount of shots we’ve done so far, isn’t even going to last one night.”
“Why must you always over-analyze things?”
He saw her bristle at his accusation. “I’m not. All I’m saying is that money can’t buy you happiness.”
“Sure it can. Money bought me this bottle of tequila which is making me very happy.”
She studied him for a second before shaking her head. “You’re hopeless, you know that?”
“And you’re killing my buzz. God, Daisy, for once in your life can you not worry about how much something costs or why someone is offering it to you? Can’t you just drink and enjoy?”
Man, she was getting under his skin tonight. In more ways than one. He could blame the tequila and the rotten news he’d received. Although the truth was, the woman knew how to push his buttons. When she wasn’t making him crazy hot, she was making him crazy. Especially when she criticized his lifestyle. He worked his ass off to get the things he had. So what if he liked to indulge now and then? Who was she to judge him?
He expected her to either argue with him again or get up and leave. So he was surprised when she did neither.
“Fine,” she said with a sigh. “I’ll sit here and enjoy your expensive tequila. Although I think it would be ten times better with some salt and limes.”
“Aye Daisy, this isn’t some race where the goal is to drink as much as you can as fast as you can. No, you need to take your time with this tequila. It deserves to be savored and tasted thoroughly.”
As if she wanted to taste it again, she licked her lips. The memory of those lips against his made him shift in his seat. Brandon snuck another look at the way her tanned cleavage strained against the fabric of her pale-colored dress, and the way wisps of her dark hair framed her smooth neck. He couldn’t deny the very hard effect she was having on his body. He wanted her. Correction. He needed her.
Because anything that made him forget about his trip to Puerto Rico the next day—even if only for a few hours—was a welcomed distraction. He needed Daisy Robles naked and underneath him as soon as possible.
Easier said than done, of course. He’d already pissed her off once tonight. If he had any chance of convincing her that she, too, wanted to be naked and underneath him, then he had to play nice.
Nice now. Naughty later.

I really liked Delicious Complication. Not only was it hot, but it also had some pretty humorous lines in it, too. And I enjoyed both Daisy and Brandon, though I really loved Brandon. He had some fantastic one-liners that I absolutely adored.
The enemies to lovers banter and attraction as well as the pretend relationship aspect of this story were both well done and entertaining to me. I think the characters and the story and the writing meshed pretty well together and made for a great, fast-paced evening read.
I do want to say that I didn’t read the first book in the Delicious Desires series so I can’t comment on how well of a follow-up book Delicious Complication is to Delicious Temptation, but I can say that this book, the second one in the series, is both well-written and engaging, with likable characters who are easy to relate to as well as envy.
If you’re like me and haven’t read this author before, I definitely recommend giving this series and this book a try. Since I enjoyed this one, I feel confident in saying you don’t need to read the first book to understand what’s going on in this one. But if you want a deeper connection with the characters and who they are and where they’ve been, you might get a fuller picture of them by reading the first book in the series. Either way, I enjoyed this book and I do recommend checking it out.
And don’t forget to check out the first book in the series!
The only thing naughtier than a bad boy is a good girl…
Amara Maria Robles is a good girl. So good that she gave up her dreams of becoming a renowned pastry chef to help her parents with their struggling Mexican bakery. Yet her parents reject any changes she suggests, and refuse to sell her mouth-watering confections. Clearly being a good girl isn’t paying off. So when her brother’s sexy ex-best friend walks into the bakery, Amara’s tempted to be very bad indeed…
After a scandal twelve years ago, resident bad boy Eric Valencia has returned to make things right with his family and friends. One glance at Amara and her wicked curves, however, and Eric finds himself thinking about how she’d feel beneath him—something he promised Amara’s brother he would never think about, let alone do.
But this bad boy is in deep trouble…because Amara’s determined to have her cake, and Eric, too.
