He’s the perfect kind of trouble…
Zoe Davenport is on her way to a perfect, idyllic, private resort, where there’s no ex-fiancé and definitely no public scandal involving said ex-fiancé. But one look at the exceptionally sexy resort owner, and Zoe wonders if she’s escaped scandal just long enough to land herself in even hotter water…
Except that Ryder Nash isn’t exactly a stranger. He and Zoe used to live next door to each other. She was the sweet little temptation who couldn’t stand him-the bad boy with a loud car and a new girl every weekend. What Zoe doesn’t know is that all those years ago, her father paid Ryder off…to keep him away from her.
And if Ryder gives into the fiery attraction that rages between them-even for a moment-he’ll lose everything all over again…

First Impression: Excellent, well-described opening that cements not only the setting but also the characters.
In an effort to prove herself to her father, Zoe agreed to marry a man she didn’t love and that didn’t love her, but then he got caught cheating. It’s that scandal and her need to escape from it that led Zoe to meet the hero, Ryder Nash. Or rather, re-meet him since Ryder was the gorgeous bad boy next door to her growing up.
This was a truly entertaining book for me. I loved the fantasy portrayed here, an impromptu vacation on an island owned by a billionaire, who also happens to be the bad boy who never made a move growing up, living next door to each other? Yeah, I’m down with that storyline. It doesn’t even matter why Zoe came to be on the island with Ryder, only that she’s there and the attraction/temptation between them is exactly what she needs. What they both need actually, though it could spell big trouble for Ryder if he gives in and takes her as he wants.
If you’re looking for a great weekend read with plenty of heat and a fun fantasy element, One Night with the Billionaire by Sarah Ballance is the perfect choice. I loved it a lot, as I have all of the books in the Men of the Zodiac series.
Sarah and her husband of what he calls “many long, long years” live on the mid-Atlantic coast with their six young children, all of whom are perfectly adorable when they’re asleep. She never dreamed of becoming an author, but as a homeschooling mom, she often jokes she writes fiction because if she wants anyone to listen to her, she has to make them up. (As it turns out, her characters aren’t much better than the kids). When not buried under piles of laundry, she may be found adrift in the Atlantic (preferably on a boat) or seeking that ever-elusive perfect writing spot where not even the kids can find her.
She loves creating unforgettable stories while putting her characters through an unkind amount of torture–a hobby that has nothing to do with living with six children. (Really.) Though she adores nail-biting mystery and edge-of-your-seat thrillers, Sarah writes in many genres including contemporary and ghostly paranormal romance.
