Her mind rejects his world. But her body knows its master.
Journalist Caroline Preston arrives at Serve, New York City’s hottest BDSM club, with one goal—to hate it. If her brother wasn’t trying to turn the family’s respectable financial magazine into a publication that features “lifestyle” pieces for the wealthy and adventurous, she wouldn’t even be there, trying to write an article about a world she doesn’t understand.
But then she sees him.
Jonah Briggs doesn’t leave his post for just anyone. As the owner of the club, his sole purpose is to ensure that his clientele get everything they need, but when he sees Caroline, his only thought is what he wants—to dominate the sexy little reporter and give the most exquisite pleasure she’s ever experienced.
Caroline has no intention of entering that particular lion’s den—not with her family’s reputation at stake—no matter how dark, sexy, and complex the lion in question may be. But with every encounter, she craves more, and with every slide of his lips, she realizes Jonah might just be the man to break down all her defenses…if she’ll let him.
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Tessa Bailey lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her husband and young daughter. When she isn’t writing or reading romance, Tessa enjoys a good argument and thirty-minute recipes.
First Impression: Well-written, excellent characters, and an excellent introduction to the world of Serve–and the BDSM lifestyle.
Caroline and Jonah are a fantastic pairing, and their story was so good, so fun. I love that despite Caroline’s rush to judgment about his lifestyle choice and club Serve, she couldn’t deny her intrigue with a man like Jonah. He’s exactly what she needed to shake up her carefully ordered world up and take her out of her head for a while, and she’s the perfect woman for a man like Jonah Briggs because she’s a challenge, a temptation, and a saving grace all rolled into one woman.
I really loved this book. It’s a hot, expertly written read. The characterization was fabulous and the story engaging. If you haven’t read this one yet and enjoy reading erotic fiction with the BDSM lifestyle in play, do yourself a favor and get it. It’s well worth the read, and so is the Serve series.
