This time, all bets are off…
Penelope Carson loves to steal clients from Will Reaver. Yet something in her business nemesis’s icy blue eyes makes Penelope…nervous. It certainly doesn’t help that the man is the living embodiment of a Norse god. A controlled, powerful Norse god. Which she really should have remembered before she made a bet with him—because losing means becoming Will’s personal submissive for a week.
There’s nothing Will would like more than to have Penelope kneeling before him in complicit submission, her fiery dark eyes inviting him in. Challenging him. But their bet takes Will and Penelope deeper than either of them have ever been. Where control is an illusion, and boundaries are pushed aside. And where hearts become the stakes in a game that neither Dominant nor submissive can win…
New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Katee Robert learned to tell her stories at her grandpa’s knee. She found romance novels at age twelve and never looked back. When not writing sexy contemporary and speculative fiction romance novels, she spends her time playing imaginary games with her little ones, driving her husband batty with what-if questions, and planning for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.

First Impression: Well-written. Great characterization. Perfect setup.
One week as Will Reaver’s submissive. One week for everything to change. For both of them.
Penelope Carson and Will Reaver are like oil and gasoline. She pokes at him because it’s fun, but she wasn’t expecting things to escalate beyond the sometimes childish, sometimes heated impulses he stirred in her. Now that it has, only one question remained–how hot will their fire burn and which of them will be left standing once their contract term ends?
Knowing he was the first one to dominate her made him want to set a standard no one else could live up to.
I loved this book! Yes, it was blazing hot, but it was also filled to the brim with some amazing character insights. This is a story depicting just how quickly things can change for people, even those who think they know each other and themselves. How one choice, one moment in time, can have the impact of a lifetime. What a fantastic lesson to learn, and an equally fantastic book.
Katee Robert out did herself with this one. I loved it!
