My Mountain Man Recluse by Sadie King is the fourth book in the bestselling author’s Wild Heart Mountain: Mountain Heroes series. Currently, you can only find this book on Amazon as it is a Kindle Unlimited read. 

I’ve read several books by this author and I’ve enjoyed them all. They are always so well-written and both lead characters have a depth and a realness to them, despite the shortness of the overall romance story.

 

BOOK REVIEW

Izzie is one of those characters that’s hard not to like. She’s a caretaker, and though that very nature can get her into trouble—like it does here when it strands her on a mountain she should have been already down before the storm hit—she still pushes through and does what she feels is right. And Jagger, the man she came to see, is just over here doing his best not to let her in on his secret—that he’s struggling to keep her at the distance he has consistently told himself for years he needs to keep her at.

There is such a great contrast between these two people, and not just because of the age gap and the fact that he’s her father’s reclusive best friend. He’s a recluse and she’s a people person, but at their core, they both want to help others. I love that about them. 

I lso love how the author built the story and showcased the personalities of the characters in such a short amount of pages. Both were very well done. 

All in all, My Mountain Man Recluse is a short and steamy read, and well worth the invested reading time.

Highly recommend checking it out. Especially if you’re in the mood for a good palate cleanser.
