TROUBLE FOR HIRE

Return to Rose Bend with author Naima Simone

Trouble for Hire by Naima Simone is the fourth novella in the author’s Rose Bend series. It comes after the third full-length book, With Love from Rose Bend, that released in March, though all books in this series can be read and thoroughly enjoyed as standalone reads. And trust me when I say, they are each worth a read. Rose Bend is a beautiful fictional town that I love to visit again and again. The characters are always vibrant, and the stories are both dynamic and engaging.

BOOK REVIEW

I really enjoyed this short romance read. Naima Simone is one of my all-time favorite authors and I have loved every addition to her Rose Bend series thus far. Each couple have been so much fun to read and Camille and Erik in Trouble for Hire were no different.

I loved how good Erik was with Camille. Yes, he had his personal ghost to fight, but despite that, he was observant and very present with Camille. And Camille was equally great with Erik, noticing things others didn’t quite register with him. They were good together, sweet and steamy. Camille was no pushover and Erik was no high-handed business owner, though he had his reservations about Camille at first.

I really enjoyed how this story played out. Camille was so much more than first impressions made her seem. Smart, capable, and forthright in her defense of others yet much less confident in her defense of herself. I liked her a lot. And Erik was pretty much the same, just in a little bit different way and for a bit of a different reason.

If you’re looking for a swoon-worthy good time with a sweet and steamy romance couple, Trouble for Hire is so worth the read. It’s a great story with an equally great message, and it doesn’t hurt that the characters just sweep you right into their story and into their lives.

Highly recommend this one!

When the one you shouldn’t touch is the only one you want…

Against the odds, Erik Mann has overcome his past and built a successful tattoo business in Rose Bend…and he might have just ruined it all by hiring his best friend’s sister. It’s not that Camille Dansen isn’t great at her job, though her insistence on changing everything drives him crazy. It’s all the other ways she’s driving him crazy that are the problem. He can’t fire her. He definitely shouldn’t kiss her. But something’s got to give…

Newly divorced and fresh out of options, Camille warily agrees to work at Forever Ink. To her surprise, everything about this small Berkshires town seems to fit. Erik’s more than the surly, hot bad boy she envisioned. It's not just heat between them—there’s depth too. Trust is a risk she vowed never to take again, but when love puts its mark on you, there’s no way to deny it.
