BOOK REVIEW
In The Perfect Fake Date, two childhood best friends become so much more. Yet the road before them is littered with doubt, and neither one of them are exactly sure where they fit with the other.
Kenan and Eve have excellent chemistry, and their history of being childhood best friends is not only believable but perfect for the conflicts they both face within the book. Conflicts that include a lot of self-doubt and a huge need to prove themselves. Though this pairing has similar flaws, those flaws exist for very different reasons. Yet, one has to wonder if their flaws have sort of grown into what they are because of their closeness with each other. They know each other so well, it’s hard to fathom they wouldn’t have also developed a similar filter for the world, though slightly slanted by their individual experiences and emotional wounds.
