Spotlight On Louis Tomlinson

When English singer-songwriter Louis Tomlinson released his third solo song, “Just Like You” on October 12th 2017, he did so without the normal label campaign or radio support that comes with a single release. But it should come as no surprise to anyone who has followed the 25-year-old Doncaster native on his solo record journey that “Just Like You” shot to number one on the worldwide iTunes chart the same day of its release.

Coming in at just under three and a half minutes, “Just Like You” is the sort of raw, honest pop tune that surprises as well as delights. With sincere and compelling lyrics, an unassuming Tomlinson asserts that he isn’t all that different from his fans. That he experiences the same doubts and insecurities as they do, even with the fame and money he’s garnered as a member of worldwide boy band sensation One Direction. It’s these simple, humble, honest emotions that come through with startling clarity on “Just Like You” and make the tune a clever, heartfelt pop song that deserves to be at the top of the charts.
