BOOK REVIEW
This was a great romance read. Fun, flirty, with both heart and steam. I really liked the characters, both the leads and the few side characters who made an appearance. They were all fun, and each of them had very distinct personalities, which made reading about them even more entertaining.
I have not read anything by this author previously, but I enjoyed her writing style quite a bit. It has a natural flow to it and the fast pacing made this such an enjoyable read for me. I loved Olive and Leo together, and I equally loved them on their own individually.
Olive runs a bookstore she doesn’t own but loves like it was hers and despite her goth-like appearance, she’s a sweet, caring person. Leo is the sexy single dad she meets after getting thrown into a pool with him. She’s a little leery of getting involved with him, but at the same time, she can’t seem to steer clear of him, even though a relationship is the last thing she’s looking for right now. Except… the more time Olive spends with Leo, the more time she wants to spend with him. And that could be a problem. For both of them.
Leo is the single father of a semi-rebellious teenage girl who no longer thinks the sun rises and sets with him. No matter what he tries, he just can’t seem to bond with her, and adding in a new relationship with a woman she hasn’t yet met probably isn’t the best way to gain her attention again. Or so he thinks.
The closer Olive and Leo become, the more they want to explore this thing between them. And soon enough, Leo is ready to introduce his daughter to the woman who has become much more than just a hookup.
