Wicked Ride is the first book in the Realm Enforcers series by author Rebecca Zanetti. In the book, vice cop Alexandra “Lex” Monzelle and Realm Enforcer Kellach Dunne are doing everything they can to get a dangerous new drug off the Seattle streets, but their chase pits them against each other from the start thanks to Alexandra’s job and Kellach’s reputation as a member of the Titans of Fire motorcycle club.
Kellach wants nothing more than to keep Alexandra safe, even though she’s said she can take care of herself just fine. And the trouble from their differing opinions on her ability to keep herself safe keeps the two of them at odds. Yet, it’s the chemistry between Alexandra and Kellach that shakes Alexandra up the most, because protective, possessive Kellach pushes her past her comfort zone and awakens parts of Alexandra that she wasn’t prepared to see surface, or other parts she didn’t even know existed.
This is the first time I’ve had the pleasure of reading a paranormal book by Rebecca Zanetti and I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the read. The characters in Wicked Ride are every bit as strong and alluring as I would expect in this type of read, and the storyline is so thoroughly intriguing and engaging that it quickly became a book I couldn’t put down. It’s intense, fast-paced, and extremely well-written.
If you like strong alpha males, stubborn serious-minded heroines, hot sexy love stories with fascinating, suspenseful, supernatural elements, Wicked Ride is one book you won’t want to miss. You’ll be especially pleased if you’ve read the Dark Protectors series, as you’ll already be familiar with the world and a few of the characters within it.
Final Review: Wicked Ride is an excellent, extremely entertaining read by a fantastic and talented romance author. I highly recommend it!
