He’s hot, irresistible…and he will always make sure you’re satisfied.

Crown Prince Nicholas Lytton was never supposed to be ruler of Callanos. He was the “spare to the heir,” pursuing a decadent life of the rich and royal—extreme sports, physical pleasures, and glorious irresponsibility. Until his brother died. Now Nick is to be coronated king, and no one believes he’s ready.

The best way to secure his crown is to do the unthinkable…find a queen.

While Isabel Reynolds works in the palace gardens, she has no desire to draw the attention of the way-too-flirty, would-be king. For she’s not the woman everyone thinks she is. Even if she wanted—or was tempted by— the promise of love, it would only end in disaster. Because while Isabel may be able to catch a king, her secrets would only destroy him…

The Prince’s Runaway Lover by Robin Covington is the seventh book in Entangled’s Men of the Zodiac series. In the story, Crown Prince Nicholas Lytton has always been able to do as he pleased because everyone knew he would never be King. But thanks to the death of his brother and the incapacitating ill health of his father, Nick is thrust into a role he never wanted nor expected to play.

Oh, but I loved this story! The main plot could’ve been like so many others I’ve read with this type of romantic trope, but the depth and the personalities of the characters, as well as the masterful writing skills of the author, kept this story fresh and unique, with a natural feeling flow that easily swept me up into the story. I felt for Nick because he is between such a rock and a hard place, and yet, he’s still doing his best to do the right thing for his country and its people. It isn’t an easy road for him, but having Isabel around to talk to helps ease his burden even as it complicates his life and his intention to rule.

If you love fairy-tale romance stories of love and duty, personal sacrifices and finding inner courage, you will love The Prince’s Runaway Lover by Robin Covington. It’s a beautifully told contemporary romance by a skilled and talented author, and her love scenes are to die for!

  • Love that the story was kept fresh and unique, that really is hard to find sometimes in this genre. Glad this worked so well!
