They don’t play for the same team. Or do they?
Jamie Canning has never been able to figure out how he lost his closest friend. Four years ago, his tattooed, wise-cracking, rule-breaking roommate cut him off without an explanation. So what if things got a little weird on the last night of hockey camp the summer they were eighteen? It was just a little drunken foolishness. Nobody died.
Ryan Wesley’s biggest regret is coaxing his very straight friend into a bet that pushed the boundaries of their relationship. Now, with their college teams set to face off at the national championship, he’ll finally get a chance to apologize. But all it takes is one look at his longtime crush, and the ache is stronger than ever.
Jamie has waited a long time for answers, but walks away with only more questions—can one night of sex ruin a friendship? If not, how about six more weeks of it? When Wesley turns up to coach alongside Jamie for one more hot summer at camp, Jamie has a few things to discover about his old friend…and a big one to learn about himself.
Warning: contains sexual situations, skinnydipping, shenanigans in an SUV and proof that coming out to your family on social media is a dicey proposition.

I don’t read a lot of m/m romance so I held off on buying this one in the summer, but Him came highly recommended by a friend of mine so I finally decided to check it out. I’m so glad I did!
Him is a compelling and thoroughly engaging m/m romance, with two fantastic, well-rounded characters. I can’t even begin to tell you which man I loved more because Wes (Ryan Wesley) and Jamie (Jamie Canning) were both amazing on their own and for a host of different reasons.
The book itself was fun, sexy, fast-paced, and so utterly entertaining. So many scenes and lines with these guys had me laughing out loud, but just as many others had me sighing with awe and contentment. The emotional scenes in this book were both magnetic and thought-provoking because you truly get a sense of who both of these men are and what drives them to do the things they do. You learn what pushes them past their comfort zones, what makes them afraid, and what excites them and makes them happy.
Wes and Jamie are so well-drawn they both could step off the page and into reality at any given moment. I loved them both, and I loved this book. In fact, I’m anxious to read the second book in this series, Us, because this one was so good.
If you’re even slightly thinking about reading Him, do it. It’s well-worth the read and it’s written by two extremely talented authors who not only know how to write, but how to characterize and add layers of conflict and dimension to both the characters and the story, making for an extremely fantastic, well-written romance read.
Highly, highly recommend this one!

You did and I did! Omg, it was so good. I’m so upset with myself that I took so long to read it. It was awesome. So well done. Thank you for giving me the push I needed to read it!
