mythoughts

First Impression: Extremely well-written with excellent characterization and a heroine I instantly liked. I love the author’s writing style and I love Cassidy’s personality. She feels real and unique.

Written by Harper Kincaid, Bind Me Before You Go is the eighth book in the Serve Series by Entangled Publishing Brazen, which started with Tessa Bailey’s Owned by Fate. In this story, the heroine, Cassidy Peyton, is new to New York City and interested in experiencing new things, though she isn’t certain she’s prepared for what a place like Serve offers. David Cavill, the hero, is a sexual dominant at the club who takes an interest in Cassidy.

This book has a dynamite flow, which makes the story an easy, fast-moving read. Everything about it flew for me, which shows how much effort the author put into writing it and how much enjoyment I got out of reading it. It’s a fantastic read and one of my absolute favorites from the series because of its ease and naturalness. This is a first-rate contemporary read with a heroine I could understand and connect to, and a hero I absolutely loved.

Sexy, intense, and dominant, David Cavill is exactly the kind of man Cassidy Peyton needs in her life. Because he challenges her and keeps her from living in the status quo, taking her safe, boring life to the exciting, adventurous moments she dreamed of finding upon moving to New York City. And she keeps him connected in ways he hadn’t expected to ever find.

One of the big things I’ve loved about this book is the chemistry between Cassidy and David. It made the scenes they shared together intriguing and fun because they were a perfect fit for each other and the honest connection between them showed in their every interaction together. I loved that David was protective and honest about his intentions with Cassidy, and that he encouraged her to play it safe and be responsible with her safety whenever possible. I also love that he was a different kind of sexual dominant  because it brought new things into play into the series as a whole and made for a fascinating story for Cassidy and David.

Bind Me Before You Go was a short read, but it packed a lot inside its pages, and it was one of those books I didn’t want to end. The entire time I was reading, I kept glancing at how much time I had left because I wasn’t ready for the story to be over and I wanted to savor Cassidy and David’s journey for as long as possible. I don’t know what it is about this author’s words or storytelling ability, because I haven’t read her work before, but I seriously dug what she did in this story and I absolutely cannot wait to read more of her work in the future.

If you want a hot, emotionally satisfying story with in-depth characterization and a hero and heroine who are real, human, and memorable, pick up Bind Me Before You Go by Harper Kincaid. These characters and this story will draw you in and have you craving more. Highly recommend this read!

A woman with the heart of a revolutionary,
The mind of a pragmatist,
And the inappropriate humor of your tipsy BFF…

Born in California and raised in South Florida, Harper Kincaid moved around like a gypsy with a bounty on her head ever since. Along the way, she worked as a community organizer, a professional matchmaker, an art teacher, a popular blogger, and a crisis counselor (to name a few). All the while, longing to have the guts and follow-through to do what I really wanted: to write and become a published author. That wish has finally come true.

Besides writing about sexy people falling in love, Harper adores listening to indie, lo-fi, complaint rock played on vinyl, wearing black, the theater, well-informed optimism, happy endings (both kinds), and making those close to her laugh ’til they snort. She’s a self-admitted change junkie, loving new experiences and places, but have now happily settled in the cutest lil’ town, Vienna, Virginia.
