BOOK REVIEW

ALISHA RAI
Hate To Want You
Forbidden Hearts #1
5 out of 5 stars

What a tangled mess of emotions this book brought out. I don’t think I’ve ever read a story that had me so torn from the first few pages on, but this one sure did. The deep tension between Livvy and Nicholas was like a live-wire threatening to burn all who crosses its path, and it was handled so deftly, it easily carried me from one page to the next.

Livvy and Nicholas have not had an easy time of it, to be sure, and yet, they are continually drawn together despite the pain of their rocky past. They continue to seek each other out when everyone around them says they shouldn’t be together, because what they have is so much stronger than what they were and  still are to everyone else.

THEY SHARE AN UNFORGETTABLE LOVE.

Brimming with deep love and undeniable passion, Alisha Rai’s Hate To Want You takes readers into the heart and soul of two characters who have fought to survive the damages of their past and now seek to embrace a future of their own.

Filled with angst, tension, love, and romance, Hate To Want You touches on themes of family, mental health, forgiveness, and what it means to step outside of one’s own box and become someone who stands tall and proud in the face of continued adversity. It is a story brimming with doubts and insecurity and the need to rise above the problems of the past to find a future for themselves.

A beautiful love story that contemporary romance readers will be hard-pressed to put down, Hate to Want You is a must read romance novel. Livvy and Nicholas are perfect together and their chemistry and love for each other is the glue that holds them both together.

Hot, raw, and deeply emotional, Hate to Want You is the best kind of reunion romance. The kind that will stay with you long after you finish reading it.

Highly, highly recommend this read.

One night. No one will know.

That was the deal. Every year, Livvy Kane and Nicholas Chandler would share one perfect night of illicit pleasure. The forbidden hours let them forget the tragedy that haunted their pasts—and the last names that made them enemies.

Until the night she didn’t show up.

Now Nicholas has an empire to run. He doesn’t have time for distractions and Livvy’s sudden reappearance in town is a major distraction. She’s the one woman he shouldn’t want . . . so why can’t he forget how right she feels in his bed?

Livvy didn’t come home for Nicholas, but fate seems determined to remind her of his presence—and their past. Although the passion between them might have once run hot and deep, not even love can overcome the scandal that divided their families.

Being together might be against all the rules . . . but being apart is impossible.
