Fit Mountain Instaloves Vol 2 by Stella Banks ~ Book Reviews

FIT MOUNTAIN INSTALOVES VOL 2

STELLA BANKS TAKES READERS BACK TO FIT MOUNTAIN

I don’t know about you, but sometimes, I just want to read nothing more than a quick little romance. A short, fast-paced, one-sitting read that allows me to relax and take my mind off other things for a while. The Fit Mountain Instaloves Vol 2 series by Stella Banks proved to be exactly what I needed.

I read the three available Fit Mountain Instaloves Vol 2 books during my breaks between other tasks I had to complete this weekend, and each time I finished a story, I felt even more accomplished. Not to mention just plain happy. For all the other chaos in my life as of late, I was able to take a half hour at a time and just lose myself in a brand new romance reading adventure. And it was awesome.

These stories may all be romance short reads, but they each contained a solid romantic relationship between some really fun characters. So let’s dive in and talk about them, shall we?

Chase
Last month, my physical therapist told me his daughter was taking over his clinic.
To be honest, I didn't think much of it.
Until I saw her through the window.
Molly is perfect. She's gorgeous and curvy with a sweet smile that can light up any room.
I knew right then that she was meant to be my girl.
Sure, seducing her might be against the rules.
But I'm not about to let that stop me.
Molly is mine.
And one touch is all I need to convince her...

MY THOUGHTS

I really enjoyed Molly and Chase’s story. The grumpy-sunshine dynamic always makes for such a fun romance read, and I loved that Molly was committed and persistent enough to go find out why Chase wasn’t showing up on the days he was scheduled to do his physical therapy with her.

I also loved that Chase wasn’t ditching Molly because he didn’t trust her to take over her father’s practice but because he wanted to meet her under different circumstances. That was a cute aspect, and the whole he fell first angle proved to be the perfect fuel for the story, too.

Duke
I'm just about to leave for vacation. Then, my boss calls me with an urgent assignment.
To be honest, I'm not exactly thrilled.
Until I meet the curvy bombshell waiting in his office.
She's everything that a man could want. Beautiful, smart, and sassy.
From the second I saw her, I knew she was meant to be my girl.
But it turns out the curvy bombshell is my boss's daughter, Grace.
And my new assignment? Protect her while she's in town for the weekend.
This means that Grace is off-limits. But I'm not about to let that stop me.
Sure, I know that falling for Grace is risky.
But my girl is worth every risk there is...

MY THOUGHTS

For a short romance, this was a really great read. Duke and Grace had great chemistry together. Their love story was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. I will say Duke came on a bit too strong for me at the beginning, and I don’t quite understand why Grace didn’t fully question his romantic actions toward her at the time. But even with that confusion on my end, I still enjoyed the story and the characters.

I loved the bodyguard angle, and that Grace was a former mob boss’s daughter who made her living as a food blogger. I enjoyed the slight element of danger in this one, too, because that’s not always easy to tackle in short romance read like this. Not without making it feel rushed, and this one didn’t really have that rushed feel to me. It just felt like a perfect little snapshot in time, which is exactly what I was looking for when I picked this story to read.

She's my biggest rival...and my secret obsession. And now that I own her family's company, soon she'll be mine.

Wes

Fiona Parker has hated my guts since we were kids. Can't say that I blame her either.
But we're all grown up now, and I'm determined to make her mine.
Fiona was made for me. She's smart, stunning, and stubborn as hell.
I know she's trying to push me away with that feisty attitude of hers.
But it just makes me want her even more.
That's why I just bought the majority stake in her family company.
And my first order of business? An executive retreat at the secluded Fit Mountain Resort.
Just what I need to get my girl alone and show her the man I've become.
I know it won't be easy. Fiona's got walls up higher than any mountain.
But I love a good challenge, and my girl is the best kind there is...

MY THOUGHTS

Wes and Fiona were a great pick for the rivals-to-lovers trope. They had really good chemistry, and their childhood history with each other felt like a natural fit for the story as well. I loved that Wes was all in, but Fiona wasn’t quite aware of his feelings since she was pretty much doing her level best to fight against her own.

I enjoyed the fact that Wes took Fiona on a work retreat to try to get them on the same page about the company, but that it was Wes that realized he didn’t fully grasp what was going on behind the scenes. I loved that he figured out a way to honor the legacy while also giving Fiona the recognition and acceptance she desperately needed.

This one is my favorite of the stories in this series, and I am seriously looking forward to reading the next (final?) book in this series when it realizes in March.
