Griffin
All it takes is four days to change my carefully planned-out life. Four days to fall for Peyton Monroe. Four days to convince her to give me… us a chance.
Before her, baseball was the center of my world. Being the best. Getting a full-ride scholarship. Getting drafted. Going pro. But from the moment my frisbee lands at her feet on the beach, I can’t stop thinking about her.
She’s beautiful, funny, smart… and lives thirteen hours away. Long-distance love is a complication I should avoid, but staying away from Peyton is not an option. This goes beyond the team and my love of the game.
Peyton
I’m looking to get away, not searching for love. But it all but lands at my feet on spring break anyway. A beach full of hot guys, and of course I find myself falling for a handsome baseball player.
Griffin Anthony’s charming smile draws me in. We fall hard and fast, but when it’s time to say goodbye, he tries to convince me that we can make this work long distance.
Now I’m torn between following tradition and playing it safe or throwing out the rule book and following my heart across the miles. He wants me to trust our connection. Can I risk my heart?

BOOK REVIEW
Beyond the Team is the fourth book in the Out of Reach series and features Peyton Monroe, Easton and Larissa’s youngest daughter, and Griffin Anthony, a baseball player who lives over a dozen hours away from her.
Peyton and Griffin meet on a Florida beach during spring break, and there’s an immediate connection between them. But she’s only there for a few days and then it’s back to Tennessee, while Griffin lives and goes to school in Florida. Neither one was expecting anything when they met, but the connection deepens the more time they spend together.
I really liked this story, and I loved the characters. It was easy to understand why Peyton was a bit reserved with Griffin because she knows she has to be careful being around so many major league baseball players. Especially when the guy interested in her is a college baseball player hoping to one day make it to the major league.
Like the other books in this series, this book had a natural feel to it. The characters were real, and their reactions to each other fit with who they are and what they’ve experienced as individual people. I loved that this was a long-distance story where they couldn’t just see each other whenever they wanted. The relationship build up was sweet and heartwarming, and I enjoyed going on the journey with both Peyton and Griffin.
All in all, this was a delightful, fast-paced, and fun read. So, if you’re looking for a great sports romance, this one should be at the top of your TBR pile. As the fourth book in the series, I would recommend reading the others first, but it doesn’t have to be done that way. This book can easily be read and enjoyed as a standalone read, in my opinion. It’s just a bonus to get to know the rest of the family and backstory leading up to this moment. Regardless of which direction you choose, this is a wonderful story with great characters and fun, on-point storytelling. Definitely recommend checking it out.
