With an amazing all star cast, Wisdom Of The Crowd stands out on Sunday Nights.
In the latest episode of the hit CBS Sunday night drama, WISDOM OF THE CROWD, Jeffery Tanner (Jeremy Piven) and his team take on a serial killer while also trying to find out who killed Mia Tanner. The third episode, aptly titled “Machine Learning,” delivers some shocking twists and turns as well as some brilliant emotional performances from its all star cast.
The thing I love about WISDOM, and this is true for every episode that has aired thus far, is the overall quality of its production. Everything from the writing to the acting to the lighting and the production sets is high quality and makes for a truly compelling hour of TV entertainment.
Jeremy Piven
Each week, Jeremy Piven delivers one emotional performance after another with subtlety and an underlying sub current of desperation that is increasingly evident throughout each scene. With an obviously full understanding of his character, Piven portrays a grieving father who is unraveling and desperate to bring justice to his murdered daughter, though it is also evident Tanner knows he can never make up for the mistakes he made as a father when Mia was alive. It is this conflict that drives Piven’s scenes and colors his performances in a way that gives further credence to his incredible skill as an actor.
Alongside Piven is actress Natalia Tena, best known as the lovable Tonks in the Harry Potter franchise, Monica Potter, Richard T. Jones, Ion Overton, Blake Lee, and Jake P Matthews. Each one of these talented actors brings a new dynamic to the show and offers up an additional magnetic quality to the scenes, bringing humor, emotion, tension, and suspense to a host of dramatic and trouble scenarios. They, along with the writers, also bring a series of cleverly sprinkled episode easter eggs from previous projects.
The Writers
The writers on WISDOM are on point with keeping the tension at the forefront while still allowing the emotional performances of the actors to drive the scenes. Each week we get a new layer to Mia Tanner’s puzzling murder while at the same time, our crime fighting team of technology wizards gets embroiled in another new case. Brilliant cliffhangers keep fans on the edge of their seat and continually leave them wondering what will happen next.
The answer? Absolutely anything.
WISDOM OF THE CROWD airs on CBS on Sunday nights at 7pm CST (unless delayed 30 minutes by football then it’s on at 7:30pm).

About WISDOM OF THE CROWD
WISDOM OF THE CROWD is a drama about a visionary tech innovator who creates a cutting-edge crowdsourcing app to solve his daughter’s murder, and revolutionize crime solving in the process. Inspired by the notion that a million minds are better than one, Silicon Valley entrepreneur Jeffrey Tanner, develops “Sophe,” an online platform for publicly shared information he’s certain will find his daughter’s killer. To assist him, Tanner recruits Det. Tommy Cavanaugh, the original cop who investigated the murder but was unceremoniously forced off the case. Working with them is Sara Morton, a brilliant engineer whose relationship with Tanner goes beyond professional; Josh Novak, a talented, nerdy-cool head programmer; and Tariq Bakari, a tech genius and expert hacker with issues adhering to the rules. Concerned with Tanner’s obsession is his successful ex-wife, Congresswoman Alex Hale, with whom he shares an unbreakable bond over their shared grief. As Tanner taps into the “wisdom of the crowd,” his unexpected success fuels his determination to solve even more cases than just the one that’s personal to him.
