Scarlet Baxter releases new single “Trigger” on Friday

Scarlet Baxter

For fans of Maren Morris, Kerri Watt, Kelsea Ballerini

Scarlet Baxter is quickly establishing herself in the country pop genre with her distinctive velvety tones and lyrical intelligence. Following up from her previous release Skydive, the new single Trigger, captures the emotion through her soulful vocals and acute compositions, which has drawn comparisons to Adele’s. Scarlet’s love for the classic R&B shines through while fusing with a soft rock edge similar to the Eagles, creating a unique contemporary sound. A huge fan of Shania Twain, Scarlet has once again proven that she is right at home competing with the likes of Maren Morris, Lauren Alaina and Kelsea Ballerini in this fusion of pop, R&B and country.

Supporting many established acts from Chic to Bombay Bicycle Club and Hot Chip, Scarlet has proved her versatility and strong work ethic. She is a strong personality with a strong catalogue to back it up, in which she has earned rave reviews and loyal support from the BBC and regional stations throughout the country.

Everything Scarlet releases it’s evident she’s growing as an artist, Scarlet has strong writing collaborations with the highly acclaimed writer/producer Jud Mahoney (Michael Jackson, Usher, Dolly Parton) and critically acclaimed songwriter John McLaughlin (Westlife, Busted, Blue, Sandi Thom).

On The New Style of Music

After the success of Skydive, Scarlet is growing more confident by the day. Scarlet said: “When I found this new direction, I was extremely excited. It allowed me to really mix together different styles that I’ve loved for years, like Miranda Lambert and the R&B classics. This new country style is becoming more popular in the UK and as that grows we’re seeing some amazing songwriters emerge. I’m so proud of what I have achieved so far and ‘Trigger’ is the perfect follow up single. I just can’t wait for people to listen to it.

“Trigger” will be available 23rd March on iTunes & Spotify.
