Entangled Indulgence
Today on the blog, I’m going to be talking about a few of my favorite recent Indulgence reads, as well as some of my favorite heroes and heroines from the line.
First up…
Crashed by Sherilee Gray was a five-star top pick read for me. I absolutely loved it from beginning to end and cannot recommend reading it highly enough.
What’s the book about? Well, here’s the book’s summary:
She swore never to trust him again…
Fiery mechanic Alexandra Franco should have known better. Years ago, her best friends’ older brother took her virginity and broke her heart-or rather, doused it with gasoline, lit a match, and then walked away. And Alex definitely should not have indulged in another hot night with him after the fact. He’s not the same boy she fell for, and she sure as hell doesn’t want anything to do with the wealthy, ruthless man he’s become.
Walking away from Alex was the biggest mistake of Deacon West’s life. She belongs with him, and if getting her back means playing dirty, so be it. If she’ll grant him a three-month, no-strings affair, he won’t sell the building Alex and his sisters use for their auto repair business. Hell, he’ll even sign it over to them. But will Alex ever entrust her heart to him again, or are they destined to crash and burn?
Why did I love this read, you ask? Because not only is the book extremely well-written, but the author made me like and care about the characters, too. It’s the first book in the author’s Axle Alley Vipers series and man, did it kick things off with an unforgettable start.
What did I say in my earlier review of the book? From the onset, we are aware that Deacon and Alex have been circling each other for years, and that they share a passionate history with their own emotional scars to show for it. They are fire and ice, temptation and salvation, enemies and lovers. They are so much to each other, and yet, they can’t seem to get things right between them. It doesn’t help that Alex is scared of becoming attached again, or that Deacon has continually behaved like an ass to her. But even as badly as Deacon behaved, readers are shown right from the start how he truly feels about Alex, and throughout the tale, his feelings for her only grow deeper, stronger.
I seriously loved this book. It was hot and passionate, and the characters carried a lot of deep emotions inside of them and between them, which in turn made them feel real, human, and flawed. They crashed and collided throughout this book, and I loved that about them because it felt natural to who they are as story people. It worked for them, and it made their romance wicked-hot and their story immensely entertaining to read.

My next favorite read is…
The Prince’s Runaway Lover by Robin Covington is book seven in the Men of the Zodiac series.
What’s the book about?
Her secrets will destroy him…
Sign: Libra
He’s hot, irresistible…and he will always make sure you’re satisfied.
Crown Prince Nicholas Lytton was never supposed to be ruler of Callanos. He was the “spare to the heir,” pursuing a decadent life of the rich and royal—extreme sports, physical pleasures, and glorious irresponsibility. Until his brother died. Now Nick is to be coronated king, and no one believes he’s ready.
The best way to secure his crown is to do the unthinkable…find a queen.
While Isabel Reynolds works in the palace gardens, she has no desire to draw the attention of the way-too-flirty, would-be king. For she’s not the woman everyone thinks she is. Even if she wanted—or was tempted by— the promise of love, it would only end in disaster. Because while Isabel may be able to catch a king, her secrets would only destroy him…
Reason I loved the book: Nicholas wasn’t ready to lead his country, but thanks to his brother’s death, he didn’t have a choice in the matter. Nicholas must learn and prove he has what it takes to be King, but his desire for Isabel and the ease with which he opens up in her company only complicates his intention to rule.
This was very much a four-and-a-half star, fairytale, push-pull kind of book, which made for a fantastic and compelling read for me. I loved both the main characters in this story and I loved the dilemma they faced because of their meeting and developing feelings for one another.

Another one of my favorite Indulgence reads is…
Beauty and The Bachelor by Naima Simone is book one in the Bachelor Auction series for Entangled Indulgence and I absolutely loved it!
What’s it about? Here’s the summary…
She may be the highest bidder, but this bachelor’s price is blackmail and passion…
Billionaire Lucas Oliver is hell bent on revenge. And his plan begins when Sydney Blake—the stunning daughter of his enemy—is tricked into bidding on Lucas at a bachelor auction. Then he serves up a little blackmail…followed by a marriage proposal Sydney has no choice but to accept.
Sydney has been controlled by her family her whole life. When Lucas threatens to reveal her father’s shady business, she is once again forced to do her duty for her family. But worse—oh so much worse—is the rush of lust that Lucas ignites in her blood.
Lucas is determined to make Sydney suffer, but it’s tough when he can’t keep from touching her–or thinking about touching her–all the time. She’s not fairing much better since she’s engaged to a darkly handsome beast intent on destroying her entire family…along with her heart.
Why did I love this read? Well, as I stated in my review of the book, I adore a revenge-minded hero and Lucas Oliver is very much driven by a need for revenge, but he isn’t so far gone that he remains unaffected by Sydney, the heroine of the book. She gets beneath his skin and makes him curious about her, which doesn’t bode well for his revenge plans against her father.
This book really had everything I love about reading romance and indulgences in particular. As I listed in my review, this book was an intense, sexy, steamy, revenge-minded enemies-to-lovers story, complete with blackmail and forced marriage. And not only was it well-written, but everything in it, from the plot to the characters to the setting itself, was well-executed and flowed seamlessly. Loved, loved, loved this book.
