SEAL Team featuring David Boreanaz premieres Wed Sept 27th on CBS

David Boreanaz (Bones; Angel, Buffy, The Vampire Slayer) begins a new TV chapter this week with the premiere of his new CBS military drama, SEAL Team. In the series, Boreanaz plays intense, respected, Navy SEAL Jason Hayes, the leader of the Tier One SEAL team.

For those familiar with the actor’s TV filmography, Boreanaz seems a smart and obvious choice to play Navy SEAL Jason Hayes. Not only has Boreanaz perfected his craft and his ability to portray highly intense and emotionally dramatic scenes, but he’s also proved he is adept at adding a little levity when warranted, and with a military drama like SEAL Team, that is bound to be a huge and necessary asset.

SEAL TEAM is a new military drama that follows the professional and personal lives of the most elite unit of Navy SEALs as they train, plan and execute the most dangerous, high stakes missions our country can ask of them. Jason Hayes is the respected, intense leader of the Tier One team whose home life has suffered as a result of his extensive warrior’s existence. His team includes his trusted confidant, Ray Perry, the longest-tenured operator with whom Jason shares an ingrained shorthand, and Sonny Quinn, an exceptional, loyal soldier with a checkered past who still combats self-destructive tendencies. Undergoing additional rigorous training in the hope of joining Hayes’ select unit is Clay Spenser, a young, multi-lingual second generation SEAL with insatiable drive and dedication.
