Tina Borlenghi is a billionaire businesswoman, heiress to the Borlenghi fortune, and living la dolce vita. She’s also a magnet for men who crave fame and celebrity. So while in New York City launching a new fashion boutique, Tina is more than intrigued when sports bar owner Luke Pederson mistakes her for a sales assistant. He’s sexier than sin and only interested in her. What’s the harm in a little steamy role-playing?

Luke can’t get enough of Tina. And yet, something feels…off. Why is she so secretive? As their role-playing encounters become more erotic, Luke’s suspicions grow. The woman rocking his world is hiding something. Something big. He’s ready to play for keeps, but finding out who Tina really is may just turn the tables on everything he thought he knew about love.

A case of mistaken identity leads to some fun, sexy role play in Joan Kilby’s newest Entangled Brazen, Turning the Tables. And it’s just as fun and just as sexy as it sounds.

Turning the Tables is my first read by Joan Kilby so I missed out reading the first book in her Italian Connection series, but that wasn’t a problem, as this story is more than capable of standing on its own. I never felt lost or confused over who was who or what was going on in the book. So if you’re like me and haven’t read book one but would like to read this one, you absolutely should. It’s well-written, and the characters entice you right away.

As a wealthy businesswoman, Tina Borlenghi has had her share of disappointments in love. Attracting the kind of men who only want the money and fame she can bring to them, and not the love she can offer them. Which is why it’s so refreshing when Luke Pederson, the sports bar owner next door to her newest fashion boutique, mistakes her for a sales girl. Even though Tina knows it’s wrong to keep the truth of her real identity from Luke, she can’t quite bring herself to let go of the fantasy she has of being accepted for herself and not her famous name or wealth.

If you like your romance with a side of fun and sexy, Turning the Tables is a great book to read. It’s the perfect blend of sweet, sexy, and fun, which made for an altogether enjoyable read for me.
