Sawyer Sterling needs a girlfriend. With the family cabin up for grabs, he’s desperate to prove that he could be the guy to “pass it on.” Of course, Sawyer also has a tendency to treat relationships like a contagious stomach flu that should be avoided at all costs. Now he needs a girlfriend-for-hire. Someone he can trust. Someone he could never, ever fall for…
Someone like his best friend’s sister.
Sawyer’s offer is exactly what Olivia Morgan needs. After traveling around the world for the last five years, the promise of a job and free accommodations is heaven. And sure, maybe Sawyer’s a super-hot, charming guy with dimples made for kissing, but he’s not willing to be the guy—or relationship—she needs.
All it takes is one hot hook-up before this little hoax gets blown all to hell…
Heather Thurmeier, best selling Amazon author, was born and raised in the Canadian prairies, but now she lives in New York with her own personal romance Hero (aka her husband) and their two little princesses. When she’s not busy taking care of the kids or fur-kids, Heather’s hard at work on her next romance novel. She loves to hear from readers. Heart, humor, and a happily ever after.

I loved this book! The dynamic between the characters is so fun and the setup for Sawyer and Olivia’s story is perfect. I loved the history and sparks between Sawyer and Olivia, and I seriously loved Aiden and his overprotective big brother routine. The relationship between all three characters feels real and deep and made me smile as I read. These are people I could see myself befriending, and going out to share dinner or a drink with. They’re actually kind of awesome.
Sawyer Sterling is willing to fake a relationship to get his hands on his grandparent’s cabin, the cabin he loves and the place he considers his home, and since Olivia Morgan needs a place to live and some work experience for her resume, she’s willing to help him out by pretending to be his girlfriend for the next three months. Both characters thought it would be easy to pretend, but when the lines started to blur between what was pretend and what was real, nothing was easy anymore. Most of all trying to deny their attraction and feelings for each other.
If you like fake/pretend relationship, brother’s best friend/best friend’s little sister, boss/employee type romances, this book has them all, and it layers them in a way that makes the read fun, enjoyable, and memorable. I’ve read a lot of books with these same kind of tropes lately, but this one still manages to feel fresh and new. I highly recommend reading this one. It’s the perfect combination of sweet, sexy, and fun, with several laugh out loud and aww-worthy moments.
This sounds like it was so much fun! I can really tell how much you loved it from your review. 😀
