But the chemistry between them won’t be denied, and soon he’s introducing her to a whole new world in the bedroom, pushing her far beyond anything she’s ever experienced. First Impression: Love, love, love. Excellent opening with fantastic characterization that pulls you right into the story and keeps you there. The characters are so dynamic and real. I love them!
Opening Up is the first book in the new Ink and Chrome erotic romance series by Lauren Dane, and it is a prime example of everything I love about this author’s work. It’s scorching hot, as most of her books are, and the connection between the characters is instant and feels natural and real. The writing is crisp and fresh, the characters human and relatable, and the story fascinating and intriguing.
During an industry networking event, P.J. takes an immediate notice of Asa Barrons, the gorgeous co-owner of Twisted Steel. She’s never seen the man before, but she’s taken by his standout dominance and sexy good looks, and she’s fascinated by his vehicles. And Asa is every bit as fascinated by P.J. and her custom painting work. It’s their interest and work with cars that first brings them together, but it’s the white-hot chemistry that takes things further than either one of them could have dreamed.
I thought this was a fantastic book. I loved the characters, and I loved how passionate they are about their work with cars, and about each other. They’re like two magnets, constantly circling, fighting, and pulling at each other. It’s makes for a really entertaining read and a terrific overall story.
If you’re never read Lauren Dane’s work before, this is an excellent book to start your new author addiction. The characters will pull you in, and the story will keep you reading long after you should have gone to bed. I loved it!
