Book Summary

Love is always worth the risk . . .

Neil Healy was happy to be promoted to Air Force Lieutenant, but he’s less than thrilled that the new job has brought him back to his hometown. The memories alone could kill a man, to say nothing of actually seeing the woman he never got over. Neil knew avoiding Becky Westmore would be impossible, but he didn’t expect the chemistry between them to be as strong as ever.

All Becky wants this holiday season is to get through the month of December with her sanity intact. Not helping? Her ex-boyfriend’s return to Glenwood Falls. Even after a decade apart, Neil still makes her feel in ways no other man has. But Christmas is a time for miracles, and maybe Becky’s will be a second chance at first love.

My Thoughts

*ARC provided by Publisher*

Maybe This Kiss by Jennifer Snow is a great second chance romance about two high school sweethearts who let their fear of the unknown pull them apart. Instead of fighting for what they wanted after graduation, fighting for who they wanted, they went their separate ways and despite their reunion now, those same fears threaten to overshadow the feelings they still have for one another.

I really enjoyed this story. It was sweet, the characters and storyline were perfectly crafted, and the writing was strong and solid enough to keep me reading to the end. In fact, once I started this book, I didn’t quit until I hit the end. The characters and their story are both compelling and engaging, charming and intriguing. The more I read about them, the more invested I became in them and their story.

I also loved meeting Becky and Neil’s family and friends. There were so many fantastic side characters in this book that I was already anticipating the next book in the series before I even finished reading this one. Which is a definite testament to author Jennifer Snow’s storytelling talents.

If you’re looking for a quick, sweet, fast-paced Christmas-themed romance read, be sure to pick up a copy of Maybe This Kiss by Jennifer Snow. It’s a great, well-written, heartwarming story that is guaranteed to make you smile and long for more of these characters and this town.
