25528464

And Kaitlin Shuller’s groom of her dreams is marrying someone else… her sister.

Worst day ever. Her heart is broken, and all her carefully laid plans destroyed. Enter Beckett Larson, her older brother’s best friend and a very good bad decision.

Beckett has spent his life trying to outrun his bad reputation, but everyone already thinks the worst of him, so when Kaitlin offers herself to him — virginity and all— he just can’t say no.

But one night together has permanent consequences, and this time Beckett knows he can’t outrun his bad boy reputation. He’s determined to make Kaitlin his bride…even if he has to seduce her down the aisle.

First Impression: Great opening. You can feel the heroine’s angst over the wedding proceedings right away. You can also feel her animosity and confusion for Beckett.

Bride By Mistake by Nicole Helm is the third book in the Montana Born Brides series by Tule Publishing. Like the previous two books, this one deals with a wedding, but this time, the wedding is a little more personal for our heroine, as she’s been in love with the groom for years. The groom her sister just married. Talk about anxiety and heartbreak! Poor Kaitlin is up to her neck in it, and then she sees Beckett, who proves to be just the distraction she needs.

I really enjoyed this book. It has a great setup with likable characters who both have some troubling issues to deal with, mostly about how they see themselves, each other, and other people. One had the stars knocked from her eyes while the other can’t seem to escape his past, or the weight it holds over him.

Beckett is a fantastic romantic hero. A little bit bad boy, but a whole lot good man. He’s misunderstood and yet, Kaitlin sees him better than anyone. He sees her better than anyone, too, and I love how great he is with her. I love how good they are for each other, even when things get confusing and bigger than either of them planned.

If you love sweet romance stories with some great romantic tension, you’ll love Bride by Mistake by Nicole Helm. I know I did.
