“Jud with his slow, Texas drawl is one sexy cowboy who will have readers falling in love with him. His romantic connection with Fiona sizzles. Brown’s modern storytelling and fun-filled plot will engage readers and wrap them up in this sweet, Southern holiday romance.” –RT Book Reviews
THIS CHRISTMAS, SANTA’S WEARING A STETSON
‘Tis the night before Christmas and all through the house is the presence of one wickedly hot cowboy who’s come to stay for the holiday. Fiona Logan is downright shocked to return to her childhood home and find that the tall blond stranger who came to her rescue on an icy road will be sleeping just across the hall from her bedroom. Talk about temptation . . .
Jud Dawson never believed the Lucky Penny Ranch would live up to its name until now. Fiona is gorgeous, smart, funny, and everything he thought he’d never find. Now all he has to do is convince her to stick around town instead of hightailing it back to Houston. But with wild weather, nosy neighbors, and a new baby in the family, getting her to admit that she’s falling in love might just take a Christmas miracle.

I love the Lucky Penny Ranch series! Not only are the books well-written, but they’re also a compelling blend of humorous and sexy. Funny and sweet. Passionate and family-oriented. And Merry Cowboy Christmas has the added bonus of the holidays to spread joy across it’s pages.
Divorced and broke, Fiona Logan returns to Dry Creek, Texas for Thanksgiving, with every intention of finding a job and saving some money before she heads back out of town. She wasn’t planning on meeting and sharing a hallway with sexy Jud Dawson, co-owner of the Lucky Penny Ranch, though he does hold a certain kind of appeal. Except Jud is looking for a wife to help him build a family, a home for future generations, and Fiona isn’t so certain that’s for her.
Cowboy romances are a long-time favorite of mine. And I particularly love a Christmas cowboy romance where the hero makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Like I need to light a fire and curl up beneath a warm blanket, slowly drifting off to sleep in his fictional arms. And that’s exactly how Jud Dawson made me feel in this book. Warm, sleeply, sated. With a smile on my face and a ton of good thoughts in my head. Really enjoyed his character.
Merry Cowboy Christmas is a charming, laid-back, fast-paced contemporary romance that draws readers in and allows them to escape into its pages. It’s the perfect fall read with a great cast of characters who never fail to entertain. Seriously recommend checking it out.
A great read!

Top 5 Qualities of a Cowboy Hero
by Carolyn Brown
- Like Jud Dawson he has to wear his jeans right. That means they stack up over his boots just right.
- They have to respect their woman. That means opening doors, tipping hats and not taking them for granted.
- He’s hard working and doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty. He enjoys his work but when the day is over, he loves coming home and kissing his lady.
- He loves his mama. A cowboy might not always agree with his mother but he sure enough loves her.
- He puts his lady before family and friends and even himself. Her love is the most important thing in the whole world to him and he would never jeapardize that for anything.
