Love Between The Lines by Christina Collie is a gorgeous, artistic, high quality adult coloring book that is an absolute must have for romance book lovers. The pages are crisp, stunning, and so much fun to color. There are pages for those days when you want something quick and simplistic and those days when you want something more intricate and thought-consuming. There are so many fantastic pages for books I’ve loved that I was overjoyed to get a copy of this in the mail, In fact, it was so pretty I almost didn’t want to color in it, but of course I did and I had such a blast with it, too. I want to buy another one so I can do a few different color combinations on them, as well as buy a couple as Christmas gifts for a few romance reading friends of mine.
Here’s two brief snapshots of pages I’m working on.
The first is the first page in the book and a features a quote from author Amy Harmon’s Making Faces that I chose to color with colored pencils. I am still debating on coloring the background on the page.
The second coloring page is one I’m still working on coloring, using both markers and colored pencils, and it’s a little more intricate, featuring all kinds of things inspired by Colleen Hoover’s book Slammed. FYI, if you’re concerned about bleed-through on the markers front, just put a piece of card stock paper or something underneath the page and you’ll be fine, but honestly after coloring quite a few things with markers on this page, I haven’t found that much bleed-through at all.
I’ve thought about framing or laminating a few of these colored sheets from my favorite books featured in this (like Katy Evan’s REAL) and maybe adding some of my thoughts and favorite quotes to a separate sidebar panel or something for final display purposes. I think it could be a really unique display piece around my bookshelves or on my wall once the pages are colored how I want them and framed. I’ll let you all know the progress I make on that once I get it done, but it’s definitely in my mind to do something.
But seriously, folks, if you love to color and you love reading romance novels, this is definitely the coloring book you want to purchase, and if you’re anything like me, you might want to purchase more than one of them. For yourself, and as gifts for romance reading friends because once you see it, you’ll probably fall in love with it. Just like I did.

Christina Collie is a twenty-eight-year-old Tennessee native who began doodling images inspired by her favorite books almost four years ago before launching Doodles by Christina. Since then she has doodled over 50 images and has sold prints around the globe. Outside of being a huge bookworm, she enjoys watching LSU football, playing with her dog Nola, and hanging out on her best friend’s farm. This is her first coloring book.
