Bartender Mackenzie Ellinsworth has always gone it alone. So when she has a chance to open her own bar and restaurant, she’s got a plan for how it should go. Not in that plan: a ripped and rugged playboy stepping in to take over. Mack doesn’t do players, and she doesn’t do one-night stands. If Connor wants to work with Mack, he’s going to have to keep his strong, sexy hands to himself.
Connor Branding is determined to prove he’s not the directionless playboy Mack thinks. But opening a place together causes more problems than it solves. The two of them can’t agree on anything—except how scorching hot their chemistry is. Connor may be ready to indulge every desire Mack’s been denying herself…but turning business into pleasure is likely to get him burned.

Make Me Beg
The second book in author Rebecca Brooks’ Men of Gold Mountain series, Make Me Beg introduces us to the love-hate relationship of bartender Mackenzie Ellinsworth and chef Connor Branding. And folks, trust me when I say, the banter and sexual chemistry between these two characters is off the charts and sizzling.
Well-written, engaging, and told with a natural flow that carries you from page to page, scene to scene, Make Me Beg is a dynamite read that was fun, passionate, and so, so hot. Connor and Mack are like fire and ice, they disagree more than they agree. And yet, there is this undeniable something between them that won’t let them back down from a fight or continue to ignore the desire that flares between them.
After reading this, I can safely say that Make Me Beg is one of my all time favorite Brazen reads and Rebecca Brooks is quickly becoming one of my all time favorite Brazen authors. I love her writing style so much. She has a true gift for characterization that makes me believe every word she writes because the characters live and breathe on the page. They totally could be people I know because they were so easy to identify with and like. And they made me want to root for them, even when they were being dumb and letting their fears hold them back.
If you’re looking for a dynamite romance read with lots of heat and fantastic banter, pick up a copy of Make Me Beg by Rebecca Brooks. It’s an excellent read and sure to make you a fan of the author, too.

About Rebecca Brooks
Rebecca Brooks lives in New York City in an apartment filled with books. She received a PhD in English but decided it was more fun to write books than write about them. She has backpacked alone through India and Brazil, traveled by cargo boat down the Amazon River, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, explored ice caves in Peru, trekked to the source of the Ganges, and sunbathed in Burma, but she always likes coming home to a cold beer and her hot husband in the Bronx. Her books are about independent women who leave their old lives behind to try something new—and find the passion, excitement and purpose they didn’t know they’d been missing.
