LOVE ME DANGEROUS

Love Me Dangerous by Dakota Davies is now live!

In Love Me Dangerous, Zach is running from his past and the trouble waiting for him back home when he meets—and saves—Sofie from a couple of dangerous situations of her own. Though he makes it clear he isn’t staying in Finn River long, and he doesn’t want to get involved or care about the people he meets, he finds himself doing just that. Helping when he knows he shouldn’t, caring despite knowing it could cause him trouble and put his life in danger even more than it already is.

BOOK REVIEW

I really enjoyed this one. It’s my first book by Dakota Davies, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect in terms of writing style, storytelling ability, or characterization. But I needn’t have worried. The writing is crisp, the storytelling engaging, and the characterization is filled with emotional depth and resonance. I liked Zach and Sofie, and I rooted for them to find a way to make things work between them.

Sofie was a great character, stronger than she knows, and willing to do what she needs to do for her family and the people and causes for which she cares. Zach was similar in that respect, doing everything he can to make sure his younger brother stays safe while also trying to help the people and the town he wasn’t supposed to care about at all. The dynamic between them and the trouble they found themselves in made for a great small-town suspense read. It also put the characters at opposite ends at times due to how much they both wanted to care for each and wanted to avoid getting hurt by caring too much. Fear of failure and abandonment is a real thing, and they were handled really well in this book.

If you’re looking for a good small town romantic suspense story, Love Me Dangerous by Dakota Davies is a good one to check out. Great characters, story, and writing. I enjoyed it at a lot and I’m already looking forward to reading book two in November!

I came to Finn River to get away from trouble. Of course it found me anyway - in the form of a forbidden kiss.

After a narrow escape from Alaska and months on the run, I take a security gig that doesn't ask any questions about my past. But it didn't take long before trouble came knocking--first, a dangerous rescue, and second, sharing my secrets with the one girl I shouldn't trust.

I need to stay away from Sofie Whittaker. Not only are we from different worlds, with two very different futures, being with her puts us both at risk. But her bright blue eyes and rare smile haunt my days, her sassy mouth and tight curves consume my nights. The more I try to push her away, the more entwined our lives become, until the morning I find her in my bed, begging me to make her mine.

But it all comes crashing down the night my past catches up to me. No way am I letting Sofie go--but in fighting for her, will I break us for good?

A hero on the run. A dark past. A love worth fighting for.
