Infatuated with the Bad-Tempered Mountain Man by Sierra Hunter is a fun and entertaining instalove romance in which a grumpy mountain man and a feisty city girl butt heads over a possible tourist destination being built in the small mountain town of Frostpeak. Hayley is there to do a job and Griff is doing his best to protect his hometown from friendly town from big city invaders, yet after a big snowstorm that strands them together on the mountain, they discover something much more real together.
I really enjoyed this read. It was well-written. The characters were engaging and had great buildup, as both individuals and as a newly formed couple. I liked both characters on their own and together, though both characters had their shields up high at the start, which made it difficult to know who I was supposed to root for at first. But then it became apparent that both characters had a point and before long, I was just enjoying the story and their getting to know one another outside of the conflict that brought them together.
A truly fun romance short read that can be read and thoroughly enjoyed in one-sitting, I highly recommend giving this book, and the whole Mountain Man Rescue series, a try. It definitely brightened my weekend, for sure.
