BOOK REVIEW

This is the first book I’ve read by this author duo, and I must say, it won’t be the last. It’s a fantastic read. Fast paced, engaging, steamy, and fun. I loved the leads so much, but also all the side characters. Each one had such distinct personalities and stories, some of which I can’t wait to read about over the next few books in the Gamebreakers series.

Banks was such a great romance hero. He was going through quite a bit in terms of his hockey game, but meeting Aspen was a pivotal moment for him. She was not what he was expecting, and she didn’t treat him differently just because he was a hot hockey player and had a lot of money.

Aspen was a strong, independent heroine with a lot on her plate. She worked a lot of hours in order to afford the things she needed and while she wasn’t all that interested in getting involved with anyone, she couldn’t quite keep Banks at a distance. He shifted her view and helped her see there was more out there if she just gave herself a chance to accept it.

Banks and Aspen were such a great combo and their chemistry was obvious right from the start. I love that he fell first, and that Aspen had a really hard time accepting her own feelings. The push-pull dynamic between them made for such a good read, and one I found myself unable to put down until it was over.

Highly recommend reading this one, especially if you love found family, he falls first, enemies to lovers, and hockey romance.

She hates me…

I’m going to make her fall in love with me anyway.

As captain of the SoCal Vipers, the last couple of seasons haven’t been going well. My stats are slipping, and I’m at risk of being traded.

So, I’m not in the mood for a case of mistaken identity with the woman playing bouncer at the arena door.

But when I find out she’s come to town to escape her controlling family and make a fresh start, I know I can’t just let her walk away.

I’ll do anything to make sure she’s safe.

And if that means claiming her forever…then all the better.

Because she’s mine.

Even if she doesn’t know it yet.

About Elise Faber

USA Today bestselling author, Elise Faber, loves chocolate, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and hockey (the order depending on the day and how well her team—the Sharks!—are playing). She and her husband also play as much hockey as they can squeeze into their schedules, so much so that their typical date night is spent on the ice. Elise changes her hair color more often than some people change their socks, loves sparkly things, and is the mom to two exuberant boys.

She lives in Northern California.

About Kat Mizera

USA Today Bestselling author Kat Mizera is a South Florida native. Born in Miami Beach with a healthy dose of wanderlust, she’s called Los Angeles, Long Island, upstate New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Atlanta home. She’s never been able to pick which locale is her favorite, but if pressed, she’d probably choose the west coast.
