Book Summary: Live life in a bubble…or risk everything for love?
My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I’m allergic to the world. I don’t leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.
But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He’s tall, lean and wearing all black—black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.
Maybe we can’t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It’s almost certainly going to be a disaster.
The instant #1 New York Times bestseller–soon to be a major motion picture! In theaters May 19, it stars Amandla Stenberg as Maddy and Nick Robinson as Olly.
Risk everything . . . for love.

I really enjoyed this book. I picked it up last week and read it in one sitting on Sunday because I couldn’t put it down. And with the movie coming out soon, I knew I wanted to read it beforehand and now that I’ve read it, I’m even more excited to see the film.
The writing, the characterization, and all the fun little extras woven in made this such an enjoyable read that I honestly didn’t care I knew where things were going pretty much from the gitgo in this one. The short chapters and honest voice of the character of Maddie made this a super quick read that I thoroughly enjoyed picking up. In fact, I’ve been thinking about this book and talking about it at work for the past four days because I had so many thoughts and observations while reading. Of course, no one else at work has read this book, but I’m hoping that will change soon because I really liked this book.
Everything, Everything is fast-paced and entertaining, with an excellent lead character whose wise and witty voice made her charming and endearing to read about. And I loved her interactions with Olly. Both were facing something outside of their control and it was easy to believe in their connection because of that shared experience, even though the particular events and pain in their lives are vastly different.
If you haven’t read Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon yet, I highly recommend picking a copy up. I personally loved the story and am now more than ever looking forward to watching the movie next month.
