Happy Saturday, Okie Dreams readers! Today, I am excited to showcase our first Series Saturday post, which will feature some of my favorite book series or series (category) imprints. This particular post focuses on the former, while some future posts may well focus on the latter.

For our first post, we are featuring author Maisey Yates and her Copper Ridge and Gold Valley multi-book series.

Over the years, I’ve read a lot of series books, whether connected by characters, community, location, or something else equally enchanting. Some of my favorite authors have written multiple series, which I have loved, own and still read consistently today. One of these authors is Maisey Yates.

Maisey has written a number of my favorite series: Copper Ridge for HQN, Copper Ridge Desires for Harlequin Desire, and currently, Gold Valley for HQN and Gold Valley Vineyards for Harlequin Desire. Connected by community, family, and the ranching life in the fictional towns of Copper Ridge and Gold Valley, Oregon, these books all feature similar people, settings, and an overall western lifestyle. And they are all an amazing, memorable read.

If you haven’t yet started on these series of books, I cannot recommend checking them out enough. Each book, though connected to the others, can standalone, and all of them are worth reading and worth devouring. In fact, many of these I own both print and digital copies, so if I want to start one on the go or on my lunch break at work, I have it right in the Kindle app on my phone or tablet.

And if you’re curious, my favorite book in the series is still, to this day, Brokedown Cowboy. There is something about Connor Garrett and his story that gets to me, and it is a book I love to reread because it is just so well-written and so well-presented to readers. He’s a wounded book hero that captured my heart right from the start, and that’s not to say there aren’t just as many other fantastic heroes in this series of books, because there are. Many of them, in fact. I just love Connor and his story of heartbreak and his journey back to himself, and back to the world. Such a fantastic story.
