He can protect anything except his heart

Leese Phelps’s road hasn’t been an easy one, but it’s brought him to the perfect job — working for the elite Body Armor security agency. And what his newest assignment lacks in size, she makes up for in fire and backbone. But being drawn to Catalina Nicholson is a dangerous complication, especially since it could be the very man who hired Leese who’s threatening her.

What Catalina knows could get her killed. But who’d believe the sordid truth about her powerful stepfather? Beyond Leese’s ripped body and brooding gaze is a man of impeccable honour. He’s the last person she expects to trust — and the first who’s ever made her feel safe. And he’s the only one who can help her expose a deadly secret, if they can just stay alive long enough…

Under Pressure

I loved this book! It’s action-packed, the characters are deeply-layered and likable, and the storyline is intriguing and so well executed. Leese is everything I want in a romance hero: brave, capable, honorable, steadfast, protective. And Catalina…man, did I love her. Not only is she strong, stubborn, brave, and feisty, but she’s also intelligent, observant, and surprisingly vigilant. She’s a survivor, and though she has her moments where she lets her guard down, she has other moments where she’s more aware than people give her credit for being. She’s a real-world heroine, despite having an upper class society background, and I adored her.

Leese is a former MMA fighter turned bodyguard that has been assigned to protect Catalina from danger. Their love story is far from easy due to the threat against Catalina, but they fit together so well and their story is so fantastic. Sexy, sweet, fun, suspenseful, this novel had it all and made for a wonderful and compelling read from beginning to end. It’s the perfect book to start an Ultimate series spin-off called Body Armor, and one that can easily be read as a standalone.

Absolutely loved it!
