Book Haul February 2021
BOOK HAUL FEBRUARY 2021
WHAT I BOUGHT AND RECEIVED THIS MONTH
BOOK HAUL FEBRUARY 2021
I didn’t buy as many print books, or haul as many books overall in February 2021. A lot of the books I bought for the month are previous books in a series for which I received an ARC. Now, I don’t always buy previous books in a series, but this time, the authors and the books made me want to read the others first. Additionally, I also bought a few books I was missing in a series and didn’t quite realize I didn’t have or own.
Some of the books I bought in e-book form, I will eventually get in print. Most of these are the books I already own the series in print (and sometimes e-book and print). Since I bought so much last month, I tried to limit myself this month as far as print book buying goes. Because let’s face it, my TBR pile is stacked at the moment. And honestly, right now, it’s easier for me to read on my kindle or kindle app because I can read on my lunch break at work. I did pretty well with my quest, I think. However, I try to buy new releases when they come out so… I still bought some books, and pre-ordered at least one.
BOOK BUYS ARE THE BEST BUYS
One of the books I bought this month is THE WIFE HE NEEDS by Brenda Jackson. I purchased this book because of Harlequin’s new YouTube cooking show, Harlequin Books and Cooks. I wanted to make the recipe, and decided to read and review the book they discussed in the episode, too. Though, I would’ve bought the book anyway because one, Brenda Jackson, and two, Harlequin Desire.
Since I am a big believer in writing prompt books, I bought one of those this month. I think prompts are a great way to get the writing muse going when it may not always be so ready to create. Sometimes, a prompt can spark an idea, character trait, or story situation not previously considered, and I thought I might use that to create a new Flash Fiction piece for March. But we’ll have to see how that works out next month. For now, let’s get to what I bought, pre-ordered, and received as an ARC in February.
