Book Summary
It’s Tag Crane’s job to be the life of the party. Traveling from one exotic locale to another is just part of running the luxurious Crane Hotel empire. But even paradise isn’t perfect. Devising a new business strategy is keeping Tag up at night-and so is the Great Dane barking at all hours in the apartment below his. To muzzle the problem, Tag charges downstairs . . . right into the most beautiful, blond distraction he’s ever seen.
Dog-sitting by day, bartending by night. It’s not exactly the life Rachel Foster dreamed of. But when Tag Crane rushes in, all mountain-man shoulders and obscenely sexy smile, needing her help for the Crane Hotels, it’s a fantasy come true. What’s the harm in a fun no-strings fling? Only a fool would give her heart to a billionaire player like Tag-until suddenly the one man who can’t be caught is the one flirting with forever . . .

My Thoughts
*ARC provided by Publisher*
Engaging, fast-paced, well written, and compelling, The Billionaire Next Door takes readers on a mesmerizing ride through what it means to rebuild yourself after a fall and to persevere despite the criticism of others. It’s a story that readers will easily get lost inside, with a hero and heroine that completely captivates when they are on the page.
I really enjoyed Tag Crane’s appearances in the first book in this series, The Billionaire Bachelor, so I was ecstatic to realize we were getting his story in this book. And let me just say, author Jessica Lemmon does not disappoint. Tag is everything I wanted him to be and more. Sexy, sweet, and sincere, Tag drew me in and kept me riveted both with his charm and his determination to succeed. He’s a larger than life character with so much more depth than the people give him credit for, and I absolutely loved him.
Rachel Foster is easily one of my favorite heroine’s this year. She’s been hurt, disappointed, and lied to, but even though her recent experiences puts a serious ding in her confidence, she still manages to keep her head and her independent spirit, and she never loses her sense of humor. She’s an everyday kind of woman that I could easily imagine being friends with because she’s so sweet and funny. She has such a good heart and has an endearing, underlying vulnerability, that makes her, without doubt, the perfect match for a man like Tag.
The chemistry between Rachel and Tag was so well done. Fun, flirty, sweet, and refreshingly well-developed, their growing attraction and relationship made for an entertaining and wholly satisfying read. Absolutely loved them, and this book.
If you’re looking for a fun, emotionally satisfying, contemporary romance with a charming, hot as hell, hero and a sweet, lovable, and endearing heroine, pick up a copy of The Billionaire Next Door. It’s a fantastic romance that is more than worthy of any romance reader’s keeper shelf.

Q & A with Jessica Lemmon
Can you give us a little insight into Rachel and Tag and what you think are their best qualities?
Oh, I love this question!
Rachel is careful. She’s untrusting thanks to a lying, conniving ex-boyfriend, and, thanks to an outburst at work to confront him, finds herself out of her marketing job and working as a fulltime bartender/part-time pet sitter. Her best quality has to be her friendship. Rachel is a friend you’d want to have—she’s there for you, and she’s incredibly loyal which is why her ex’s manipulation hurt her so deeply.
Tag’s best quality is his laid-back, supportive persona. He comes off as this playful, fun-loving type, which he is, but he’s also a hard worker and knows better than to take himself too seriously. When Rachel and Tag get together, her loyalty and his ability to let her shine combine for some hot fireworks.
What was the most challenging part of writing THE BILLIONAIRE NEXT DOOR?
Letting Rachel say NO to Tag! I mean the guy is a drop-dead gorgeous billionaire who wants to provide anything and everything for Rachel. Who wouldn’t want to be pampered?! Rachel is working hard not to rely on a man, so she continues turning down his money and his offers. He does get her to comply, (finally!). Rachel deserves to be treated well, so it was fun to write the scenes where she lets go—both in the bedroom and out. *saucy wink*

What was your favorite part of the book?
When Tag points out that he knows Rachel is staring at him. He interrupts their discussion with a “Like what you see?” then says my favorite line EVER. “Touch me.” (Le swoon!)
Who was your favorite character to write?
Tag Crane! He was constantly blurting out things I had no idea he’d say, and he was this interesting mix of brash and cocky, playful and fun. He was also adorably clueless at times—ladies, you know what I’m talking about here. You can’t help but like him, and fall for him. Rachel never stood a chance.
Who inspired the characters in this book?
Tag: Brock O’Hurn – if you don’t know him, get to know him. YUM.
Rachel: A mix of a few photos. She was more in my head.

What do you hope readers will take away from reading THE BILLIONAIRE NEXT DOOR?
Laughs and Luxury. Readers can indulge in a much-needed break since this book is the ultimate fantasy: a billionaire bad boy for a date to Hawaii! Early reviewers rave that THE BILLIONAIRE NEXT DOOR is “hilarious” and “laugh out loud funny” which is so awesome to hear. I laughed a lot while I wrote the dialog.

Book Excerpt
From The Billionaire Next Door by Jessica Lemmon:
“Why is it you look like you’re thinking something sinister?” he asked, that eyebrow arcing higher. “And don’t lie to me, Dimples. I have a sixth sense.” She watched his slow smile, white teeth appearing as his trimmed beard parted. Her nether regions buzzed like she’d sat on a vibrating phone.
“I’m surprised . . .” she started, feeling daring. Must be the Kona coffee.
“Because?”
“Because I expected you to induct me into the Mile High Club by now. This is my first private flight.” She looked at him through her lashes, her coy smile in place.
Tag wore an all-out grin, which made her inordinately pleased. Where she was concerned, he wasn’t immune. And she liked that. A lot.
“Excuse me.” Smoothly, he shut his laptop, stood, and walked from cabin to cockpit.
Okay. That was interesting. She hadn’t expected him to leave. Maybe she didn’t have the same power over him as he had over her.
She turned to look out the window, but the nighttime landscape was nothing but blackness. She imagined a sea of clouds and blue skies once the sun rose, anticipating being someplace where the high was above freezing. She wondered what the temperature was on—
“Let’s go.” Her hand was snatched a moment later as Tag pulled her out of her seat and led her to the bedroom.
“Wait,” she said through her laughter as she hustled after him. “What are you doing?”
In the bedroom, he released her, closed the door, and whipped off his shirt. She gasped, her eyes eating up his tanned muscles and bulky arms.
“Making you a member.” He caught the back of her head in his hand and kissed her. She melted beneath his touch. She was hopelessly attracted to him. Just an absolute goner.
When she caught a breath of air, she said, “Where did you go?”
“Told the pilot to take the long way.”
“There’s a longer way to Hawaii?”
“There is now.”
