Imagine a world where your destiny has already been decided…by your future self.
It’s Callie’s seventeenth birthday and, like everyone else, she’s eagerly awaiting her vision―a memory sent back in time to sculpt each citizen into the person they’re meant to be. A world-class swimmer. A renowned scientist.
Or in Callie’s case, a criminal.
In her vision, she sees herself murdering her beloved — and gifted — younger sister. Before she can process what it means, Callie is arrested, treated viciously, and placed in Limbo―a prison for those destined to break the law. With the help of her childhood crush, Logan, a boy she hasn’t spoken to in five years, she escapes this hellish prison.
But on the run from her future, as well as the government, Callie sets in motion a chain of events that she hopes will change her fate. If not, she must figure out how to protect her sister from the biggest threat of all—Callie, herself.

Forget Tomorrow is a futuristic sci-fi dystopian YA novel in which seventeen year olds are given a memory of their future selves so they know where to focus their energies in order to succeed. It kind of reminds me of a cross between Minority Report (Tom Cruise movie), The Fugitive (Harrison Ford), and the Divergent series, but the best parts of all of them combined into one unique and beautifully plotted book.
This story is clever, well-written, brilliantly thought out, and everything is presented in a way that pulled me right in to the story and made me think of the possibilities it called to mind. The idea that one could get a memory from the future is both amazing and troubling, because there are so many things that could go wrong with that. Like it does for Callie. Because things go way wrong for her, she gets a memory she doesn’t expect or want to see come true, and she’s willing to do whatever she has to do to ensure that it doesn’t.
Forget Tomorrow has a little bit of everything, with a complex and intriguing plot, and it positively had me riveted throughout my reading of it. It’s just so good. The story is epically brilliant and well-worth a read. It’s also worth a spot on my keeper shelf.
Final Thoughts: Don’t miss this one. It’s a keeper, and an incredible start to what is sure to be a fantastic YA series. Highly recommend reading this one!
