Book Summary

The Poseidon team are hard-bodied, fiercely competitive navy SEALs. But when a sensitive mission goes disastrously wrong, three of the team’s finest will have to trust their hearts and instincts to uncover the truth…

“No man left behind” is inscribed in the DNA of every SEAL and Lieutenant Diego Torres is no exception. But with a team member killed—and the body missing—Diego’s honor is sorely tested. Now his career and reputation are on the line, and a traitor is hiding among them. Diego wants answers…and only one woman has them.

Single mom Harper Maclean has two priorities—raising her son Nathan and starting a new life. Her mysterious new neighbor may be impossibly charming, but Diego asks too many questions about her past—and about the father of her child. Questions she fears will reveal her burning attraction for Diego, and ultimately put them all in danger’s path.

My Thoughts

*ARC provided by Publisher*

The first book in author Tawny Weber’s SEAL Brotherhood series, Call to Honor, introduces readers to Navy SEAL Lieutenant Diego Torres and interior designer and single mother, Harper Maclean. After a mission goes bad, Diego is tasked with keeping an eye on Harper and her son, not an easy feat with his need to keep his job and his reason for entering her life a secret.

Call to Honor is a complex military romance with deeply layered characters and a tightly woven plot. In the story, we’re introduced to the honorable and loyal men of Poseidon, who put their love of country and their loyalty to each other at the forefront of their minds day in and day out. An excellent, well-written story that is as entertaining as it is intense, Call to Honor is a great opening pledge into a larger world.

Both Diego and Harper are complicated people with even more complicated pasts, but the chemistry between them is passionate and intense and the perfect compliment to a complex plot. From the start, the characters and their troubles drew me in, keeping me up until I finished the book and found out what happened on Diego’s mission.

With a brilliant plot and compelling and engaging characters, Call to Honor is a definite must read for SEAL romance readers. I personally loved it and found it impossible to put down.
