Serial Killer Research Books

Serial Killer Research Books For Writers

In August 2020, I received my Masters of Science in Criminology with a focus in Human Behavior. My master’s thesis was on high-profile US male serial killers and the potential impact that childhood trauma may have had on the level of violence and dehumanization they showed toward their victims. Here is a list of books I utilized in my research and paper.

Todd Kohlhepp (Research Thursday)

Todd Kohlhepp is a former South Carolina real estate agent and convicted serial killer. In this post, I share a graduate school paper I wrote about his childhood background and how that may have led to his criminal actions and behavior. I also discuss his part in John Douglas’s 2019 book, The Killer Across the Table, published the year after I wrote my paper for my class in school.
