LORI FOSTER
Fast Burn
Body Armor #4

I loved this book! I’m a huge, longtime Lori Foster fan and I am constantly surprised by the realness of the people who populate in her books. Each character has so much personality that I can picture them all in my head as they go about their days and move through the stories. FAST BURN, book four in the author’s Body Armor series, is another prime example of that, too.

Sahara is a badass, independent woman. She’s clever, resourceful, and stronger than she realizes, though much more vulnerable than she appears. She wears a steel cloak most of the time, but underneath it, her sense of humor, her devotion and belief in her staff, and her need for love and approval shine through. She is easily one of my favorite Lori Foster heroines to date.

Brand is a tough, MMA fighter who is drawn to Sahara and will stop at nothing to protect her, even if she doesn’t necessarily need—or think she needs—his protection. He’s blown away by her ingenuity, her business savvy, her determination to get him to join her team, but he’s also concerned about her safety in ways that make him crazy.

The chemistry between Brand and Sahara was fantastic and fun and innate in a way that made their every interaction both a battle and a surrender. They fit together so well, ebbing and flowing, that they were a joy to read.

Sexy, humorous, moving, and suspenseful, FAST BURN is an exciting and entertaining romantic suspense novel, and one of my favorites of the series to date. Sahara is the glue that holds Body Armor together and Brand is that extra coating of protection that offers another layer of strength and security to an already strong foundation.

Absolutely loved it.

For the woman who’s his perfect match, he’s willing to break the rules…

The moment Brand Berry meets beautiful, driven Sahara Silver, the connection between them is electric. It’s also something he can’t pursue. Sahara wants him, sure—to join Body Armor, where his MMA skills, size and cocky attitude make him perfect for her elite crew of bodyguards. For Sahara, the agency always comes first, and Brand needs more. Yet when she’s kidnapped by men searching for her missing brother, he doesn’t hesitate.

Somewhere along the way, flirting with Brand for the sake of business turned very personal. Despite his refusal to join Body Armor, it’s Brand who steps up when Sahara needs him most. Now there’s no more time for games, and no point denying the hunger they both feel. They’ll escape together or not at all. But if they survive, can Sahara finally surrender control to claim this blazing passion?
